HCG/Phentermine Diet

What is HCG?

HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin is a glycoprotein hormone produced in pregnancy that is made by the developing embryo after conception and later by placenta. Taking small daily doses of HCG can result in weight loss of 1 to 2 lbs per day, and often more, when accompanied by a low-calorie diet.

How does HCG work?

There are three types of fat in the human body:

Structural fat: This fills the gaps between organs and acts as sort of “package material” for the body.

Normal reserves: The body draws upon this fat when nutritional intake is less than what the body demands.

Abnormal fat: Fixed deposits of abnormal and excessive accumulation of fat throughout the body that causes obesity. The body is unable to draw from this fat in emergencies.

When exercising or restricting food intake, the body relies on and consumes the normal fat reserves. The body cannot access the abnormal fat accumulations. The use of the HCG hormones releases abnormal fat deposits and makes that fat available for energy consumption by the body.

Patients lose about one pound per day using HCG. Because the HCG hormone makes the abnormal fat available, the body begins living off of fat — the fat provides a source of energy just as food does. Patients are instructed to reduce their calories consumed per day, however, hunger is not noticed because 3,500 additional calories are consumed each day by the body. 

 

HCG Injections: Where and How?

  • Give yourself a shot of HCG every day you’re on the program.
  • The best time to give yourself the HCG shot is right after you shower in the morning.
  • There are four sites on your body suitable for this subcutaneous injection: abdomen, thigh, hips and the upper-outer arm. Among these, only two apply if you are doing self injections of HCG – your abdomen and thigh.

When Injecting in Your Abdomen

Find your belly button. Place three fingertips on your belly button and inject the HCG at the spot on your abdomen where your fingers end. Do not inject any closer than the recommended measurement of three fingers-width away from your belly button. You may go away a little further out if you’d like. 

When Injecting in Your Thigh

Measure roughly the width of your palm from your knee going up, or downward from the top of your leg. The area between those measurements can be used for an injection of HCG.
